iPhone 3.0 firmware information.

MMS? Yes Copy and Paste? Yes Landscape texting? Yes Disable message reminders? YES But what has taken so long for all of this?  Any half-assed smart phone should have every one of these capabilities when it comes out of the box (instead of years later).  The 3.0 software is currently available to Apple developers until June, when it is supposed to be released to the rest of us.  Free for iPhone owners, $10 for Touch owners. Lets take a look at some of the other features as well: Numeric battery life display. Will be able to display your charge level as a number, rather than a small image.  If your iPhone is jailbroken, this is nothing new. Better detection of phone numbers and e-mail addresses within applications. (Click to call, which has been extremely buggy in my experiences) Video recording.  Not 100% on any details with this, but should be a nice addition to the package. (Some type ...

Uploading images to FaceBook.com from your iPhone…

October 23, 2007 – 6:09 pm
While you can't currently just click "browse" and upload on the site, what you CAN do is this... Enable your mobile phone number under your "Mobile" settings (Which is located in your account settings) then simply enter your phone number and select your carrier. Setup your g-mail account with your phone, and change your facebook account profile to also use that e-mail address. Then, when you're e-mailing your photo and want it on facebook, just send it to photos@facebook.com and BOOM, there your stupid picture is. My mobile uploads folder is going to contain hundreds of photos of bathroom stalls from all over the world now. :)

Getting GMail to work on your unlocked iPhone…

October 23, 2007 – 3:58 pm
Well folks, when I first unlocked mine, I was having all sorts of issues getting GMail setup on my iPhone and it turned out to be a very easy fix. There is actually something you need to enable in your GMail account to get it to sync with your iPhone. Login to your account and go to "Settings" (Up at the top right) and then click the "Forwarding and POP" tab. If you want all the e-mail in your inbox to retroactively sync, click "Enable POP for all mail" Otherwise, select the second option and click save! That should fix it!
